I wrote this book in 2023. I'd describe it as a bit of a campy, fun adventure. The beginning is a bit rough, but I really love what it becomes—the ending is my favorite I've written outside of The Great (Goddamn) Hero of Seleria. I'm working on a sequel to it in the background of some of my other works.

"They say that one person can’t change the world, and perhaps that is true. But I believe that the right person, born in the right place and at the right time, supported by the right people, standing on the shoulders of the giants that came before them--giants who are themselves mounted atop a pile of corpses that fought and fell beneath them… Well, I believe that person can change the world."

A girl rows into the port city of Presphone during a raging storm. She crashes her small rowboat into the port, beginning a sequence of events that will forever change the city--and the world beyond it.

The High King is the tenant of Absolute Authority. There are none who can defy him. So when this girl declares her dream of riding a dragon--an act considered to be of direct defiance to the High King--it is only natural that people become unsettled. Leloria is, after all, a girl who leaves chaos in her wake.

Of course, if the order of the world is evil then chaos is not neccesarily bad. In almost every case, those who let Leloria change their lives are those who were looking already for an excuse to do so. Sometimes all it it takes is somebody to remind you that fighting is an option before you are willing to go to war.
